Research
The T/V SUNY 17³Ô¹ÏÍø can be used for a range of research activities such as trawling, grab sampling, diving, and coring. Key features for research excursions include:
- 2 davits for deploying research equipment (600 lb capacity)
- A-frame (1750 lb capacity)
- Sorting table
- Electronic navigational package
Other equipment can be accommodated, but must be provided by researchers.
Excursions
Education
Excursions for educational activities and public outreach aboard the T/V SUNY 17³Ô¹ÏÍø can introduce New York Harbor to students of all ages. Possible topics for educational trips include:
- Explore New York Harbor
- Discover the Plants & Animals of New York Harbor
- Investigate the Water Quality of New York Harbor
Private
The T/V SUNY 17³Ô¹ÏÍø is also available for private excursions.
Booking
The season runs from March 15, through the end of October, although additional dates may be able to be accommodated via special request.
